Cats Unlimited members Virginia Turner and Carol Gleisburg (not pictured), along with RAA Director Kelly Balthaser, spoke at last week’s Rotary Club of Lexington Sunrise meeting about the low-cost spay/neuter programs and other outreach efforts these all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit groups are making to help decrease overpopulation in Rockbridge County and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista.  Thanks to the Rotary Club for being such gracious hosts!

At August’s Pet Food Pantry, we distributed 361.69 pounds of cat food and 633 pounds of dog food to help supplement meals for 259 cats and 112 dogs in our community.

We helped 139 local cats and 67 local dogs in need at the Pet Food Pantry by giving out 241.75 pounds of cat food and 454 pounds of dog food to supplement their regular food source.

We gave out 245.75 pounds of cat food and 484 pounds of dog food to help 240 local cats and 74 local dogs in need.  The Pet Food Pantry at RARA is completely stocked by donations.  Please consider donating food at one of our local collection boxes located in downtown Lexington at Intimate U and at the Lexington Tractor Supply.
