Rockbridge SPCA Bottle Babies Workshop
March 23, 2017
Seminar for Bottle Baby Caregivers At The Rockbridge SPCA Thursday, March 23rd at 12:00 Noon
Kitten season is just around the corner; unfortunately, this usually means dozens of motherless kittens will be found and turned into local shelters. Knowing what to do for these kittens during the first few hours can make the difference between life and death. You can become a Bottle Baby Foster Caregiver by attending the free seminar.
Class information includes: Immediate assessment and triage; Basic care, feeding, housing and sanitation for foster homes; recognizing health issues including cost effective treatments and methods; preventative intake procedures to keep kittens healthy; effective use of space, time and fosters to maximize number of lives saved.
Guest instructor, Susan Spaulding, aka “Kitten Mom”, has been fostering neonatal orphans and special needs kittens for over 20 years and teaching others through the National Kitten Coalition for the last 10 years. She works with local and nationally known veterinarians to develop cutting edge protocols for treatment of these fragile babies.
Compassionate Caring Cat lovers may register for this FREE seminar by calling the Rockbridge SPCA at 540-463-5123. Space is limited so don’t delay. Light refreshments will be served, and donations always welcomed.
