Local Low-cost Spay/Neuter for Dogs
Apply for Rockbridge Animal Alliance’s low-cost spay/neuter program here: RAA Dog Spay/Neuter Application (call/text (540) 319-9945 if you need help filling out the application). To qualify, you must be a resident of Lexington, Buena Vista or Rockbridge County and the household income must fall below 200% of the 2017 Federal Poverty Level (see chart below). **Due to limited funding, hounds, pit bulls, and large dogs receive top priority. See below for other area options.**
For a co-pay of $30 per dog, a dog will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated for rabies by a local vet (we are partnering with Lexington Animal Hospital, The WellPet Group, and Blue Ridge Animal Clinic). Surgeries are scheduled within just a few weeks. Once an application has been approved, we will be in touch by email or text with more details. Priority is given to hounds/hound mixes and pit bulls/pitbull mixes.
