RAA is offering low-income pet owners help with routine veterinary care. This program will help with wellness exams, rabies and distemper vaccines, pedicures, deworming, flea treatment/prevention, and other routine care. Due to limited funding, the most we are able to contribute is $50 per animal. Criteria to qualify for the program,
the pet must
- be a cat, hound/hound mix or pit bull/pit bull mix
- be spayed/neutered
- never had a wellness exam
- be 3 years old or younger
and the owner must
- pay at least a $30 copayment the day of the visit
- be a resident of Lexington, Buena Vista or Rockbridge County
- fall under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
- apply and be approved before making the appointment
This program is funded 100% through grants and donations. We pay the veterinarian practice directly. Help support this program by donating here.
